Dr. Roos and Dr. Cameron
Professional Relations Directors Rhea Gupta and Miguel San Pedro greatly enjoyed interviewing Dr. Leslie E. Roos, a clinical psychologist, and Dr. Emily Cameron, a Postdoctoral Fellow in clinical psychology. Both of these dedicated and committed individuals work at the Hearts and Minds Lab, in the Department of Psychology at the University of Manitoba. They discussed past and ongoing projects at their lab, traits they possess that make them successful as a psychologist, and situations they are exposed to in the field. Most importantly, they talked about the impacts on mental health due to the pandemic, and things that need to be done to raise awareness around it. The depth with which they explained clinical psychology provided a tremendous opportunity to learn more about the profession!
